The 9-1-1 Sub Committee is a joint committee and local board.

Hastings County is responsible for overseeing 9-1-1 services as per the 9-1-1 Service Agreement. This includes managing the 9-1-1 addressing and signage system, overseeing the upgrade to NG9-1-1, coordinating emergency dispatch services, and facilitating collaboration among various stakeholders.

The cost to provide 9-1-1 services is split on a per capita basis between:

  • Hastings County
  • Belleville
  • Quinte West
  • 8 Wing CFB Trenton

As of June 11, 2025 its members are:

  • Warden Mullin
  • Deputy Warden Jenkins
  • Councillor Kelly – (Belleville)
  • Councillor Enright-Miller, Alternate (Belleville)
  • Councillor Blackburn (County of Hastings)
  • Councillor Freeman (City of Quinte West)
  • Adam Johnson, Fire Chief of CFB Trenton

Meetings

Meets as required, and is represented by all of the Emergency Services, Bell Canada and the Data Managers (County of Hastings). They look after any operational problems that may arise within the County.

Meetings are held in Hastings County Council Chambers in the County of Hastings Courthouse and Administration Building at 235 Pinnacle St, Belleville, ON K8N 3A9 and on Zoom.
