The Staff Review Committee is an internal, unelected working group of City of Belleville staff members.
Governance
As per the Grant Committee Terms of Reference, members of the Staff Review Committee will consist of:
- Director of Finance/Treasurer, or designate
- Director of Community Services, or designate.
- General Manager of Transportation and Operations or designate.
- Other staff as necessary
- The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board (BOQRMB) will provide one (1) representative (if capacity allows) to review applications and provide funding recommendations for Stream 2 of the 2026 Tourism Grant Program.
As of November 11, 2025 they were:
- Director of Finance/Treasurer Brandon Ferguson
- Director of Community Services Kari Lambe
- General Manager of Transportation and Operations Joseph Reid
Work
The Staff Review Committee took over the responsibilities of the Belleville Grant Committee, reviewing grant applications based on the evaluation criteria.
All requests will be assessed by the staff committee based on the evaluation criteria, and which generally consider the items listed:
- 4.3.1. Availability of the requested resource
- 4.3.2. Potential financial impact to the municipality
- 4.3.3 Contribution to the well-being of members of the community
- 4.3.4 Recognition of a worthwhile program/cause
- 4.3.5 Overall community impact
- 4.3.6 Any other criteria deemed suitable by the Grant Committee
