The City of Belleville wishes to advise residents and motorists that the Half-Load Bylaw will be lifted this Tuesday, April 9.
Heavy trucks have been restricted in weight since January to preserve and protect municipal roads/assets from damage during the freeze thaw or spring thaw cycle. The frost is now out of the ground and road damage that is associated with frost conditions is no longer a risk.
