In 2026, the Belleville Police Service is introducing a zone policing framework to provide more focused and proactive service across the city. The city has been divided into four zones, developed using comprehensive data analytics, including natural boundaries and call volumes among other key factors.

The new model is designed to help the Belleville Police Service better understand the unique priorities and concerns of each area, enabling a problem-oriented approach to policing. By working in defined zones and focusing on specific issues and patterns, officers can develop targeted strategies to address community needs effectively and prevent recurring problems, while building meaningful relationships.

To kick off this initiative, the Belleville Police Service will host community conversation tables in each zone. These open discussions provide residents an opportunity to share ideas, ask questions, and help set priorities for their neighborhoods.

A New Era of Community Policing in Belleville

We are inviting residents in each zone to join our community conversation tables. These are open discussions where you can share your experiences and ideas. We are here to listen, learn, and collaborate on the issues that matter most to you.
