The City of Belleville’s Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) program will be discontinued effective this Friday, Nov. 14, following recent legislation from the Province of Ontario that removes municipalities’ authority to operate ASE cameras.
Infractions recorded before the 14th will continue to be processed, and vehicle owners will remain responsible for paying any fines issued, even if the notice is received after the program ends.
We will continue to implement traffic calming measures to help keep our roads safe.
