The YMCA Centre for Life project moved the YMCA of Central East Ontario from its building at 433 Victoria Ave built in 1964 to a brand new building at 355 Bridge Street West on the northern portion of Centennial (Rotary) Park (“North Rotary Park”) next to Centennial Secondary School.
The project was originally located at the northwest corner of the Old Fairgrounds property at 240 Bridge Street West.

Facilities
In addition to a full spectrum of health and wellness programs offered by the YMCA, our new community hub will forge formal, innovative partnerships with complementary social service organizations allowing us to provide expanded, multi-dimensional services through Volunteer + Information Centre of Hastings & Prince Edward Counties; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hastings & Prince Edward Counties; Quinte Vitality & Social Support and Community Learning Alternatives all coming together within the new facility.

The total cost of the new Centre for Life is estimated at around $27 million.
