Meyers Pier was constructed circa 1905 and has been used for various purposes since. Ownership was transferred to the City in the early 2000’s.

Meyers Pier Marina is one of two community marinas located on the Bay of Quinte operated by the City of Belleville (the other is Victoria Park Harbour). It provides services to seasonal boaters including boat ramp, dockage, electricity, fuel, washrooms and on-sight laundry.

Amenities include:

  • Gas, Diesel, Pump Outs
  • 165 seasonal and transient boat slips
  • Washrooms, showers, and on-site laundry
  • Limited Wi-Fi (Boater and Public)
  • Quinte Search and Rescue – Canadian Coast Guard auxiliary on-site
  • Restaurant on-site (The Pier Patio Bar & Grill)
  • Friendly Staff On Site
  • Evening Security
  • Wireless Internet
  • Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary On Site
  • George Street Canteen within walking distance
  • Local Walking Trails

The pier is approximately 120m (400ft) long from the shoreline to docking portion of the pier which supports a building (restaurant) and fuel facilities. The pier itself consists of evenly spaced ballast filled timber cribs with steel girders supporting a concrete deck with timbers along both sides. There are several utility lines including electrical and fuel that run the length of pier. An inspection in 2020 identified deterioration and an additional inspection in 2021 resulted in completing emergency repairs.

Major rehabilitation of Meyers Pier is required in the short to medium term, as identified through engineering assessments of the current condition of the Pier.

The City of Belleville is undertaking a Schedule C Municipal Class Environmental Assessment and
Preliminary Design Study to provide a long-term solution to the sustainability of Meyers Pier to serve its intended range of functions.
