Own-source revenue is the revenue generated an entity’s own taxes and services. For a municipality in Ontario this includes:
- Property taxes
- Payments-in-lieu of taxes
- Development Charges
- Community Benefits Charges
- User fees (water, wastewater, building permits, licenses)
- Investment income
Federal and Provincial grants and transfers are not included.
