During a Community and Human Services Committee meeting to accept the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing’s (MMAH) Homelessness Prevention Program (HPP) funding allocation of $6,142,600 for 2025–26 and 2026–27, Belleville Councillors Carr and Brown proposed an amendment requesting that Hastings County allocate $500,000 from the 2026–27 capital budget toward renovations at 1 Alhambra Square, Belleville, to support the HART Hub. The committee denied the request.
