Belleville calls on Hastings County to develop multi-year capital plan for building affordable and social housing to clear waitlist

Motion

That Mayor and Council of The Corporation of the City of Belleville call on Hastings County as the provincially designated Service Manager for social housing to develop a multi-year capital plan for the construction of affordable and social housing in order to eliminate the current County waitlist for housing as well as the provision of adequate supportive housing for the County’s homeless population;

And That the capital plan be subject to federal and provincial funding;

And That a copy of this motion be sent to Hastings County Community and Human Services Committee.
