Belleville approves Heritage changes for Memorial Market Place’s Weight Scale Building

Changes include:

Removal of the infill brick and block work to re-instate the original large openings (See Attachment #3 for renderings of the proposal). In addition, the Applicant proposes to strip the paint to expose the original brick finish and replace the existing windows with thermally broken aluminum windows and curtain wall framing.
In order to retain an exposed wood framed roof structure on the interior, the Applicant proposes to remove the existing shingles and install insulation above the roof sheathing with a steel roof above.
