The Audio equipment in Council Chambers is over 10 years old. Components are beginning to fail and replacement parts for the current system are no longer available. The room was not originally designed to support streaming, video or hybrid meetings. The replacement of the equipment offers an opportunity to design the room to more readily meet the current requirements.
$200,000 was included in the 2025 budget for the replacement of Council Chambers Audio Video equipment. The amount shown above includes the non-refundable HST amount. Hastings County awarded RFP 25-820 – Provision and Installation of Audio Video Equipment in Council Chambers to Maclean Media Systems for their price of $168,933.00 + HST.
