Here are the demolition permit fees for several neighbouring municipalities in Ontario, which are all exempt from HST:

Belleville – $100

Belleville’s Building By-Law lists the cost of a demolition permit at $100 for main buildings and $100 for accessory buildings. Other building permit fees are as follows:

The demolition of a 8073 sqft Funeral/Crematorium/Mausoleum priced at $1.75 million on a real estate listing and estimated project value of $15,000 charges a permit fee of $100:

Prince Edward County – $150

Prince Edward County’s Fees and Charges By-Law lists the cost of a demolition permit at $150.

Kingston – $1.10/m2

Kingston’s Fees and Charges By-Law and Building Services Fees Summary lists the cost of a demolition permit at $1.10 per square metre.

Quinte West

Quinte West’s Fees and Charges By-Law lists the cost of a demolition permit at $0.1394 per sq. metre of floor area.
