Value for money review service costs can vary based on the scope of the review and size of the Police force. Preliminary estimates of cost would be in the range of $125,000 – $225,000 to complete the above scope of work. As the Police Service board provides oversight for the police operations they would be in the best and most appropriate position to initiate this request.
It is recommended that the best course of action for this initiative would be to request the Police Service Board consider a Value for Money review, as outlined in the February 26th motion, as part of the 2025 Operating Budget request.
