Belleville residents generally support medium density downtown

An update on the Official Plan Review Public reported key priorities were Managing Growth and Supporting Housing:

• Enhancing urban design requirements
• Supporting mixed-use development
• Promoting missing middle housing
• Managing higher densities
• Implementing Corridor Study

And that based on public engagement to date:

• People value the small-town feel of Belleville, waterfront areas and historic character
• People generally support medium-density forms of development for downtown
• Many noted the need for affordable housing options
• Many noted a lack of connection to downtown
