Reaching Home: Canada’s Homelessness Strategy is the federal government’s community-based program aimed at preventing and reducing homelessness across Canada. Reaching Home funding is provided by Infrastructure Canada to designated Reaching Home Communities.
The City of Belleville is a designated Reaching Home Community, and Hastings County is the Community Entity responsible for receiving and administering this funding in alignment with the Reaching Home directives.
After administrative costs, mandated funding for maintaining and improving the coordinated access system and the service agreement extension payments, the funding amount for community organizations amounts to $426,174 for 2024-2025 and $625,764 for 2025-2026.
Funding allocation
The following agencies received funding for 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 for a total of $1,051,938:

- John Howard Society of Belleville $423,174
- Enrichment Centre for Mental Health $90,000
- Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc. $130,000
- All-Together Affordable Housing Corp. $68,000
- The Children’s Foundation $40,000
- Pathways to Independence $200,764
