Finance Committee recommends Belleville proceed with with Parking Study’s Phase 1 recommendations

The Manager of By-Law Enforcement explained Report No. DCC-2025-01 – Comprehensive Parking Study 2025 and answered questions from the
Committee which resulted in a discussion.

The completion of the Comprehensive Parking Study provides the City with a modern, datainformed roadmap for improving its downtown parking system. The Phase One recommendations address critical gaps while laying the foundation for future growth.

The following recommendations are presented for the Committee’s consideration:

  1. THAT the Finance Committee recommend that Council approve the 2025 Comprehensive Parking Study;
  2. THAT the parking fee changes included in Phase One of the study be incorporated into the 2026 Consolidated Rates & Fees By-law; and
  3. THAT requests associated with Phase One be included in the 2026 Operating Budget for deliberation.

As a result of the explanation, the following was recommended:
