The Durham Regional Police Association is proud to endorse the Conservative Party of Canada and Pierre Poilievre in the upcoming Federal Election.
The DRPA represent the Sworn and Civilian Members who serve the residents of Durham Region and Ontario each and every day.
Our Officers and Civilian Members are dedicated public safety professionals who work to keep our community safe, often risking their own lives in order to respond to emergencies and an ever-increasing volume of dangerous priority situations.
The ability of these dedicated professionals to deliver effective service is directly linked to a government that understands and appreciates the need for Police to have the right support, tools, and legislation in place to combat crime and uphold the law. Mr. Poilievre and the Conservative Party of Canada recognize the voice and importance of Police Associations and are committed to ensuring our Officers and those across Canada have the necessary resources to police communities safely and effectively.
The Conservative Party of Canada and Pierre Poilievre have made a pledge to Canadians to deal with issues surrounding changes to bail reform, repeat violent offenders, the flow of illegal handguns, drug trafficking and most importantly hold criminals accountable ensuring the hard work done by Officers and risks to communities are addressed. His commitment to public safety aligns with the needs of Officers and Police Associations across the country. It is imperative that we protect our communities with legislation that does not limit the effectiveness of the great work done by Officers daily.
Every day our heroes in uniform and those working behind the scenes work to ensure the communities Canadians call home remain free from violent crime. Communities our members are also proud to call home and raise families in. There is a need to take crime seriously in Canada. It is our belief that the Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative Party of Canada are the best equipped to achieve this.
