Premier Doug Ford has given additional duties to all but one of his MPPs, increasing their pay without having to break the base salary freeze.

When Ford was first elected in 2018, his cabinet had 20 members. In 2024, he increased the size of his cabinet to 37 members (46% of all PC MPPs) breaking his own record for the province’s largest cabinet.
