  • 133 People are currently experiencing homelessness in Hastings County.
  • 94 People have been experiencing homelessness for six months or longer.
  • 33 People became chronically homeless. Some are new to our system and some have returned.
  • 6 People got back in touch after having become inactive (not heard from in 90 days). Some have returned to town or have met the definition of chronically homeless again.
  • 1 Person lost their housing. They were in our homelessness system before, secured housing, and now have lost that housing.
  • 9 People moved into housing This could be rental units, living with family, long term care, etc.
  • 19 People lost touch These are people who have not been heard from in 90 days or more, have left town, no longer meet the definition of chronic homelessness, or have died. People who no longer meet the definition of chronic homelessness but are still homeless will be captured in our overall number.
