QUEEN’S PARK — Ontario Greens have named Lori Borthwick as their candidate in the upcoming provincial by-election in Bay of Quinte.

Lori has called the Bay of Quinte home since 1989. She began her career as a respiratory therapist at the Belleville General Hospital, where she worked for over 30 years.

As a frontline healthcare worker, Lori has seen firsthand how the gaps in Ontario’s healthcare system are leaving everyday people behind. She is a strong believer in the Ontario Greens’ plan to invest in public healthcare and act on the social determinants of health.

“Lori is a community champion who has spent her career fighting for a fairer, more caring and climate-ready Ontario,” said Ontario Greens leader Mike Schreiner. “I’m excited to work with her to send a message to Doug Ford that we need a province that works for everyday people, not for wealthy insiders.”
