Quinte Trash Bash Returns April 20!

The Quinte Trash Bash is back again for its 24^th annual event, encouraging residents from across the Quinte Region to pick up trash on Saturday, April 20.

Quinte Trash Bash is a community-wide spring cleanup that brings people together from Belleville, Quinte West, Prince Edward County and Tyendinaga Township to clean up roadsides, parks and other public spaces. Team up with your friends and family or participate as a business, organization or school to help create a cleaner and healthier environment.

The free trash drop-off stations will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 20. Each participating community will provide free supplies in advance beginning April 15 as well as on the day of the event. “Now more than ever, taking care of the environment is of utmost importance,” said City of Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis. “Quinte Trash Bash is an opportunity to help improve our community and keep our planet clean for a better tomorrow, one piece of litter at a time. This is an excellent family outing to teach our city’s children the importance of green efforts.”

“Prince Edward County takes littering seriously because it has a detrimental effect on our environment and on our residents’ quality of life,” said Prince Edward County Mayor Steve Ferguson. “In the spirit of combating littering, we are once again participating in the Owen Jones Community Clean Up, held in support of the Quinte Trash Bash. To further spread the word in our community, we are also proud to sponsor an anti-littering sign design contest for local students.”
