- Resolution from the Township of Larder Lake requesting the provincial government consider redistributing a portion of the land transfer tax collected on property transactions to municipalities; and calling on the federal government to allocate a percentage of the GST collected on property sales to municipalities; and that this redistribution be structured to provide predictable and sustainable funding to municipalities allowing for better long-term planning and investment in infrastructure projects that benefit local communities thus ensuring that local governments receive a fair share of the revenue to address critical infrastructure needs.
- Resolution from the Township of Papineau-Cameron calling on the Ontario government to amend the Ontario Building Code to include provisions for pre-approved affordable housing plans specifically aimed at supporting low-income and homeless individuals, including standardized designs, flexible design standards, community integration, support for diverse models; and further that the Ontario government engage with stakeholders to develop these pre-approved plans.
- Resolution from the City of St. Catharines that staff investigate the feasibility and potential benefits of using bioresin on city road works; and investigate other alternative construction materials and methods for road work that minimize the city’s carbon footprint and are more environmentally sustainable.
