The Festival of Lights runs until Jan. 6 at Jane Forrester Park. This year’s display will feature exciting new installations including a polar bear bench, and extended lights and snowflakes on the Bayshore Trail to the Shirley Langer Trail. Attendees are encouraged to take photos with the displays and show their love online.
In addition to launch night, Santa and Mrs. Claus will make appearances at the display every Friday night until Dec. 20, collecting letters and Christmas wishes before the big day. For more information on the Festival of Lights, visit: Belleville.ca/FestivalofLights.
“We are very excited to be bringing this fantastic event back to Jane Forrester Park this year,” said Chair of the Lighting Display Committee Councillor Garnet Thompson. “With the addition of three more food vendors for a total of five, and return of the drone show, we know this event will only keep growing and we can’t wait to kick off the 2024-2025 season. On behalf of the committee, I would like to thank all our generous sponsors who help make this event possible.”
A new documentary about the history of the Festival of Lights is now available to the public. Watch it online for free on the City’s YouTube channel.
