This regional event was born out of COVID to drive business back to restaurants and promote our local food offerings. Partners, Chamber BIA and Bay of Quincy Regional Marketing Board are all committed to offer this program again in 2023. Restaurants offer fixed price menu items that features local. funds are used to develop marketing content and market this month long event.

In 2023, it was held from October 18 to November 5. Dine in fixed price menus $20 to $60 + tax and gratuity at 10 participating restaurants:

  • Burger Revolution
  • Capers
  • The Local Social House
  • Chilangos
  • Export Grill
  • Upfront Cafe
  • Little Texas Bar & Grill
  • Linguine’s Italian Restaurant
  • The Lark
  • The Smokin’ 116 Bistro

Funding from the City of Belleville

One time funding provided by the municipal accommodation tax reserve fund ($15,000) and a contribution from the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board ($10,000).

Councillor Brown (seconded by Councillor Carr) suggested reducing the amount, citing that less is spent on Diwali and The Carribean Festival. Carr stated that people seem to want to get out and about and that restaurants seem busy.

Carr pointed out that Quintelicious is also supported by:

  • Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board
  • Chamber (The Downtown District?)
  • BIA (Discover Belleville)

Which all receive their own separate funding from the City.

Councillors Kelly and Thompson argued to keep the funding at $25,000, where it remained for 2023.
