The DBIA representative provided an update on developments and initiatives downtown, highlighting the ongoing efforts to enhance security. A new community policing office is set to open in the next few weeks, funded by donations from downtown merchants and additional contributions from the DBIA. Additionally, the presence of three police officers, with a police car parked on the street, will enhance the sense of security.

He emphasized the importance of continuing to push for progress on various projects, including relocating the John Howard Society. While there is agreement on the need for the move, the action plan and details are still being finalized. This issue remains a top priority, especially with the upcoming summer events.
